Before turning to writing…

Kingsley spent most of her career at a think tank in Washington, DC, where she was paid to “think big thoughts.” One of those thoughts explored a climate event so catastrophic that even humanity’s fail-safes, like the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, were forgotten. She holds two master’s degrees and lives in Northern Virginia with her boundary-ignoring dog.

A woman with long blonde hair wearing a black dress with striped details and black heels, standing in front of a graphic red and black swirl on a white wall.
Snow-covered field with a single frost-covered tree in the center, surrounded by distant snow-capped mountains and a forest in the background under a pale blue sky.

Kingsley loves dogs, bad ass women, champagne, her friends, the Oxford comma, fluffy warm socks, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (not in that order).
